The Other Side of Yin Yoga
In Eastern Chinese medicine, energy flows in our body through pathways called Meridians. These meridians flow through the connective tissues, bones, ligaments and joints of our body. Proper flow of meridians is essential for harmonious balance in our mind and body, especially our vital organs. When these meridians are blocked, we experience “dis-ease” in our physical, emotional and mental bodies. Through an understanding of Chinese Meridian Theory and the practice of Yin Yoga, we can learn to bring restored health and balance back into our lives.
- Develop an understanding of the Meridian system and how it functions and relates to Yin Yoga
- Learn specific Yin Yoga sequences to promote health and balance
- Experience 2 Yin Yoga practices and its benefits from an emotional, mental and physical level
- Learn how to develop Yin Yoga sets based to strengthen specific organs of the body such as our Adrenal glands/kidneys, liver, stomach and spleen
- Learn how to set up a home Yin Yoga practice using simple props
- Learn to bring mindfulness meditation in our Yin Yoga practice
This workshop is designed for all levels, beginner to experienced. Max is 15 people to keep the experience personal and intimate.
